The UJV500-160 printer is a high-productivity model with inks that offer exceptional weatherability for outdoor applications. The UJV500-160 printer employs Mimaki LUS-200 UV ink that was jointly-developed with 3M Company. When applied onto select 3M media and installed using 3M guidelines, this ink carries the 3MTM MCSTM Warranty, widely recognized as the industry’s most comprehensive finished graphics warranty. LUS-200 inks are ideal for applications with curved surfaces such as vehicle wraps and fleet graphics where stretching could crack other inks.

Highlights of the Mimaki UJV500-160 Printer
High Speed Printing
The UJV500-160 printer can print at high speeds up to 646 SqFt/Hr (60 SqM/h) in a CMYK configuration. A speed of 258 SqFt/hr (24 SqM/hr) can be reached while printing with white ink. The six 2 inch print heads are aligned in a staggered array and optimized to eject ink effectively.
3M MCS Warranty Available
Mimaki LUS-200 UV ink was jointly-developed with 3M Company. When applied onto select 3M media and installed using 3M guidelines, this ink carries the 3M MCS Warranty, which is widely recognized as the industry’s most comprehensive finished graphics warranty.

Flexibility for Fleet and Other Curved Applications
LUS-200 inks can stretch up to 200 percent after curing without cracking, making this combination ideal for fleet graphics and other curved surfaces.
Variable Drop Printing & MAPS Produce Smooth Images
The advantage of variable drop printing is most apparent when printing color gradations in light or pastel colors. Mimaki Advanced Pass System (MAPS) implements printing in a gradational mask pattern to diminish the appearance of banding.
Long-lasting UV-LED Technology
The UV-LED lamps used in the UJV500-160 printer generate very little heat. Unlike metal halide lamps, UV-LED lamps light up only where the image is printed, saving energy and lamp life.
